AMG Freight Logistics is a leading logistics provider in South Africa, specializing in customs clearance, freight forwarding, and supply chain solutions. We're looking for an experienced Clearing and Forwarding Controller to join our team in Durban!
Responsibilities
- Manage customs clearance processes for imports and exports
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and laws (SARS, etc.)
- Prepare and process customs documents (SAD, invoices, etc.)
- Book containers with shipping lines and manage vessel schedules
- Monitor shipment tracking and resolve issues
- Liaise with internal teams and external parties
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or related field
- 5+ years' experience in clearing and forwarding
- Knowledge of customs regulations (SARS, etc.)
- Experience booking containers with shipping lines (e.g. MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software
